Moving Forward Into the New Year.......

Moving Forward Into the New Year

"Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth."

                                                Hosea 6:3

On this New Year's Eve, you may be wondering what is going to happen.

Years ago, some men were on a leaky old ship in the middle of a rough and stormy sea. One of them asked the captain, "Are we safe?"  He said, "Well, the boilers are weak and may explode at any moment. The ship is taking on water. To be very honest with you, we may go up, or we may go down, but at any rate, we are going on."

And that's the way we are as we face this new year. Jesus may come; we may go up. We may die, and go down and then up, but at any rate, we are going on.

Reflecting on this past year, allow the Holy Spirit to invade your heart, convicting and drawing you to Himself. Ask for wisdom, courage, and faith to continue on, whatever happens this next year!

Another Year Is Dawning..........

Another Year Is Dawning

Another year is dawning,
Dear Master, let it be,
In working, or in waiting,
Another year with Thee.

Another year of mercies,
Of faithfulness and grace;
Another year of gladness
In the shining of Thy face.

Another year of progress,
Another year of praise,
Another year of proving
Thy presence all the days.

Another year of service,
Of witness of Thy love,
Another year of training
For holier work above.

Another year is dawning,
Dear Master, let it be
On earth, or else in heaven
Another year for Thee.

Just One Request In 2015.............

Just One Request

Dear Master for this coming year
Just one request I bring:
I do not pray for happiness,
Or any earthly thing—
I do not ask to understand
The way Thou leadest me,
But this I ask: Teach me to do
The thing that pleaseth Thee.

I want to know Thy guiding voice,
To walk with Thee each day.
Dear Master make me swift to hear
And ready to obey.
And thus the year I now begin
A happy year will be—

If I am seeking just to do
The thing that pleaseth Thee.

A New Year's Plan...........

A New Year's Plan

I tried to think of a clever new phrase—
A slogan to inspire the next 365 days,
A motto to live by this coming New Year,
But the catchy words fell flat to my ear.

And then I heard His still small voice
Saying, "Consider this simple, daily choice:
With each new dawn and close of day
Make new your resolve to trust and obey."

"Don't look back caught in regret
Or dwell on the sorrow of dreams unmet;
Don't stare forward anchored by fear,
No, live in this moment, for I am here."

"I am all you need. Everything. I Am.
You are held secure by my strong hand.
Give me this one thing—your all in all;
Into my grace, let yourself fall."

So, at last I'm ready; I see the way.
It's to daily follow, trust, and obey.
I enter the New Year armed with a plan,
To give him my everything. All that I am.

Recipe for a Happy New Year.......

Recipe for a Happy New Year

Take twelve fine, full-grown months; see that these are thoroughly free from old memories of bitterness, rancor and hate, cleanse them completely from every clinging spite; pick off all specks of pettiness and littleness; in short, see that these months are freed from all the past—have them fresh and clean as when they first came from the great storehouse of Time. Cut these months into thirty or thirty-one equal parts. Do not attempt to make up the whole batch at one time (so many people spoil the entire lot this way) but prepare one day at a time.

Into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work (some people omit this ingredient and so spoil the flavor of the rest), hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad dressing— don't do it), prayer, meditation, and one well-selected resolution. Put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor.

Come, Holy Spirit

Spirit of the Risen Christ, be with us today and always.
Be our Light, our Guide, and our Comforter.
Be our Strength, our Courage, and our Sanctifier.
May this new year be a time of deep spiritual growth for us,
A time of welcoming your graces and gifts,
A time for forgiving freely and unconditionally,
A time for growing in virtue and goodness.

Come, Holy Spirit,
Be with us today and always.

This Year Make Your Decisions Count ..........

This Year Make Your Decisions Count

A new year is a time to get your options clear and to make a significant decision to do what it is that makes you really happy. The real issue here is that you must take each day as a new opportunity to keep moving towards what you want. Do not look at what will happen in a year but more what will you do each day you awake to change, to move forward, to put into action knowing that each day wasted can never be found again. Each day is a new beginning, the chance to do with it what should be done and not to be seen as simply another day to put in time.

For Thou Art With Me In 2015...............

For Thou Art With Me In 2015

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."

                                                                                                Psalm 23:4

There's nothing, my friend, that will bring you more face-to-face with God than going through the dark valleys of life. When you are there, you are going to cling to His garments and hold onto His hand. You won't stray far from the fold in the dark.

Do you believe that He is with you?

The ultimate Sovereign is your loving Savior. You will not have to cross Jordan alone. You will not appear before the judgment of the Holy God alone. You are not going to die alone.

What a joyful promise! You are not alone!

Write these words on a card and post it in a place where you can see it all the time:
"I am not alone. God is with me."

Listening for His Voice In 2015...............

Listening for His Voice In 2015

"Hearken unto Me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of My mouth."

        Proverbs 7:24

The United States Government doesn't teach Treasury agents to detect counterfeit bills by having them study fakes. They show these agents real dollars over and over and over until they have the pattern memorized. Then when a counterfeit is put in front of them, they recognize it instantly because it doesn't fit the pattern their eyes are looking for.

Do you know the voice of the Lord?

The only way you can be sure that it is His voice you are hearing is to hear it so often that a stranger's voice is instantly recognizable. It is far wiser to
spend time learning the One True Voice than it is trying to learn to detect a multitude of false voices.

Spend at least 15 minutes today being silent before God and listening
for His voice.

Held in His Hand In 2015 And Forever..........

Held in His Hand In 2015 And Forever
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not."

                                 1 John 3:1

You are rich!

Jesus became the Son of Man that we might become sons of God. We are saved because of the grace of Christmas.

That is not rhetoric-that is reality!
A little boy was talking about eternal security and said, "I am held in His hand."

A cynic responded, "What if you slip through His hands?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you," the boy replied,"I'm one of His fingers."

You are rich, my friend.

Amidst all the materialism that sometimes chokes out the true meaning
of Christmas, take some time to share this Good News with someone

Investing in Others for God's Glory In 2015............

Investing in Others for God's Glory In 2015

"I will mention the loving kindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord."

   Isaiah 63:7

One time a man came into a village and asked an old man living there,
"Any great men born here?" The old man said, "No, just babies."

Great men are not born; great men are made, investing in the lives of others, sharing God's love, and showing His mercies.

There is not a magic formula that instantly makes us sanctified.
Sanctification is a process. Our calling is to be poured out into the lives of others for His glory.

Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave not in order for us to have good relationships with each other but rather that we all could have a personal relationship with Him.

Our priority must always be to get people to Jesus, not into our circle of friends. If we get them to Jesus, it will hasten and strengthen their relationship with us. The scriptures say:

"Let the redeemed of the lord say so."

                                                         Psalm 107: 2

Recognize the Devil's Lies and Claim the Promises of God In 2015.........

Recognize the Devil's Lies and Claim the Promises of God In 2015

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye,always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work."

                                                                                      2 Corinthians 9:8

The devil wants you to live your life from an empty cup. He wants you to think that God's cup of grace has dried up for you. He wants you to be disenchanted with God. Most especially, he wants you to feel that God is a cosmic killjoy...that God is always thinking of ways to rob you of joy and peace. Satan knows that if you start to feel negatively about God, then he can have his way with you in other areas.

Take courage. Be strong. Jesus has won the victory for you!

Send those lies back to the pit where they came from and claim the promises of God.

Wish someone the peace and joy of the Lord today.

2.) Its not Red, Yellow, Black or White Races; Its the HUMAN RACE!

3.) God will NOT do what YOU can do and YOU cannot do what GOD can do!

5.) GOD is GOD alone; I am NOT GOD; We should ALL state that to ourselves; He does NOT need our help, we need His!

The Shapes of Snowflakes...........

The Shapes of Snowflakes

The US Navy's holiday card with a destroyer on patrol in the background.

The US Navy tweeted out a holiday card featuring a cargo ship carrying presents and a destroyer warship lurking in the background. The card includes the play on words, "presence matters because your presents matter."

The #PresenceMatters campaign refers to the Navy's increased goal of being able to use aircraft carriers to act from the sea without landing on foreign territory.

"With our aircraft carriers, we don't rely on access to another nation's runways, we bring our own. The world's oceans give the Navy the power to protect America's interests anywhere, and at any time. When our national security is threatened by the existence of a weapons facility or a terrorist camp on the other side of the world, presence matters," according to Juan Garcia, Assistant Secretary of the Navy.

The sheer dominance of the US Navy is clear when the number of American aircraft carriers is compared to other countries:

College Students Across America Protest Santa Claus..........

College Students Across America Protest Santa Claus

After weeks of preparation by an umbrella group that calls itself the Santa Claus Repudiation Organization Offering Greater Education, students at campuses across America spent Christmas Eve protesting what they consider a dangerous symbol of everything that is wrong with the world today.

For some, the fact that Santa is a white male was reason enough to be angry. As one student put it: "Why can't a mythical figure invented in Christian Europe be Middle Eastern looking or of Asian descent? Clearly Santa got the job thanks to white privilege"

More economically minded students objected to the exploitation of the Elf population of the North Pole. Comparing Santa's Workshop to a sweat shop, one student complained "What's the minimum wage that an Elf is paid? and how safe are the work conditions? Do they get health insurance or will they be forced to suffer with Obamacare?"  REALLY? !!!!

Sometimes factions within the protest group conflicted on the pluses and minuses of St Nick. One sticking point was his use of a reindeer drawn sleigh, which although criticized by animal rights activists as cruel, was applauded by others for its low carbon footprint. Another sticking point was Israel, and the fact that Santa doesn't make many deliveries to the Jewish State.  As one appreciative Middle Eastern Studies major told us, "it must be because he too is opposed to the Settlements."

But the one thing virtually all protesters were angry about was Santa's use of a list of who has been naughty and who has been nice. Many believed this is a form of class segregation, and called it a form of post-colonial suppression. A community college freshman said "the list is culturally biased, like the SAT test that I did poorly on." Another student, a Senior at an Ivy League University, had a more positive way of putting it. "When my trust fund opens up next year I get the money regardless of whether I've been good or bad," she said. "That's how it should be for everyone."

Twas' two days before Christmas......THIS IS GREAT AND SO TRUE!

Twas' two days before Christmas

Twas' two days before Christmas, and all through the Fed,
The minions were cheering,"Volatility is dead".
Portfolios were leveraged, with nary a care,
With assurances that liquidity, would always be there.

The indices climbed to new record heights,
With visions of higher; the Fed you don't fight.
My terminals blinking, and I at my desk,
I'd finally conceded, there was no more risk.

When in emerging markets there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my seat to see what was the matter.
Away to the Bloomberg, I flew like a flash,
Reviewed all the headlines and began to raise cash.

Europe was crashing, with Japan in more trouble,
China was slowing, and our markets a bubble.
When what to the pandering press should appear,
Soothing words from the Fed, and again markets cheered.

The algos u-turned, there'd be no more sellin',
I knew in an instant it must be Janet Yellen.
More rapid than eagles, her policies they came,
And she whistled and shouted and called them by name.

On stimulus, on TARP, on QEs 1, 2 and 3,
On Abenomics, on LTROs, the money is free.
$13TR and counting, we'll print 'til we die.
Prosperity from nothing, it's as easy as pie.

And then came the punchline, they'd found a new fix.
The Fed was preparing QEs 4, 5 and 6!
I often have asked, just how high is high.
I no longer question, I know to just buy.

The chairwoman smiled, a right jolly old elf.
The con worked again, she was proud of herself.
Fundamentals don't count, only faith in the Fed.
Investors the world over have nothing to dread.

A world drowning in debt, weighed down with deflation,
Was saved once again by more asset inflation.

And I heard her exclaim, as she cranked up her press,
Wish your kids Merry Christmas, they'll inherit this mess!

The Twelve Days of the Federal Reserve.....GREAT STUFF!

Who needs Santa to bring us presents, when we have the Fed?

Let It Blow! Let It Blow! Let It Blow!..........

Let It Blow! Let It Blow! Let It Blow!

Oh the economy outside is frightful
But my 80-inch Big Screen's delightful
And since our economy's got no place to go
Let It Blow! Let It Blow! Let It Blow!!

Oh, the collapse doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've brought some credit card debt for popping
My Obamaphones are turned way down low
Let It Blow! Let It Blow! Let It Blow!

When we finally kiss our economy goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if Obama really tells me everything's alright
All the way home I'll be warm

The economy is slowly dying
And my dear we're still denying
But as long as you love me so
Let It Blow! Let It Blow! Let It Blow!

Oh, it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've brought some student loan debt for popping
Since my Obamaphones are turned way down low
Let It Blow! Let It Blow! Let It Blow!

When we finally kiss our economy goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if Obama really tells me everything's alright
All the way home I'll be warm

Things happen for a reason............MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN!

Things happen for a reason.

The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn , arrived in early October excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve.

They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc, and on December 18  were ahead of schedule and just about finished.

On December 19 a terrible tempest - a driving rainstorm hit the area and lasted for two days.

On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church. His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large area of plaster about 20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall  of the sanctuary just behind the pulpit,
beginning about head high.

The pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he noticed that a local business was having a flea market type sale for charity, so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, handmade, ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth
with exquisite work, fine colors and a Cross
embroidered right in the center. It was just the right size to cover the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the church.

By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the opposite direction was trying to catch the bus. She missed it. The pastor
invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45 minutes later.

She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry. The pastor
could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it covered up the entire problem area.

Then he noticed the woman walking down the center aisle. Her face was like a sheet. "Pastor," she asked, "where did you get that tablecloth?"
The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman, and she hadmade this tablecloth 35 years before, in Austria . The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor told how he had just gotten "The Tablecloth". The  woman explained that before the war she and her husband were well-to-do people in Austria .

When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week. He was captured, sent to prison and she never saw her husband or her home again.

The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth; but she made the pastor keep it for the church. The pastor insisted on driving her home. That was the least he could do. She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn for the day for a housecleaning job.

What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many said that they would return.

One older man, whom the pastor recognized from the neighborhood continued to sit in one of the pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he wasn't leaving.

The man asked him where he got the tablecloth on the front wall because it was identical to one that his wife had made years ago when they lived in Austria before the war and how could there be two tablecloths so much alike?

He told the pastor how the Nazis came, how he forced his wife to flee for her safety and he was supposed to follow her, but he was arrested and
put in a prison.  He never saw his wife or his home again all the 35 years between.

The pastor asked him if he would allow him to take him for a little ride. They drove to Staten Island and to the same house where the pastor had taken the woman three days earlier.

He helped the man climb the three flights of stairs to the woman's apartment, knocked on the door and he saw the greatest Christmas
reunion he could ever imagine.

This is a True Story - submitted by Pastor Rob Reid who says God does work in mysterious ways.

I asked the Lord to bless you today, to guide you and protect you as you go
along your way. His love is always with you. His promises are true, and when we give Him all our cares we know He will see us through.
So when the road you're traveling seems difficult at best, just remember God will do the rest.

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need!

Bless all my friends and family in what ever it is that You know they may be needing this day! May their lives be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as they seek to have a closer relationship with You.

Anticipation of an Even Greater Day

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

                                                                                 John 14:3

It's the day after Christmas. The glow on the tree is just a little dimmer because the anticipation of the day is now past. Ever feel that way about your walk with the Lord? Well, let me give you some good news, my friend.

The best is yet to be!

That's right. Christmas Day is past, but Resurrection Day is coming soon, and I don't mean Easter. I mean the Rapture and Second Coming of Our Lord is imminently on the horizon.

He is coming again. And that's not just "a nice thing;" that's a rock-ribbed truth!

Jesus is coming again!

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

That man should be made in God's image is a wonder,
but that God should be made in man's image is a greater wonder.

The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God.

Make no mistake about it: though He was God, He also was fully man.

"His name shall be called Wonderful."
                                                       Isaiah 9:6.

Infinite and yet an infant.
Eternal and yet born of a woman.
Almighty, and yet nursing at a woman's breast.
Supporting a universe, and yet needing to be carried in a mother's arms.
Heir of all things, and yet a carpenter's despised son.

The world hinges on a stable door in Bethlehem.

God became a man so that you might become God's child. Now that is something worth celebrating.

Jesus, was not a man who became God, which is impossible, but God, who became a man.
Message of hope from the angels
Told on that first Christmas morn
Come to our hearts with fresh meaning -
"Jesus the Saviour is born."

Bethlehem slumbered in darkness
Shepherds kept watch on the hill
When from the skies came a message
"Peace on the earth and goodwill"
Angels proclaimed the glad tidings
And we re-echo their word
"Born in the City of David
Is Christ our Saviour and Lord."

Wise men brought gifts to the Savior
Worshipping Christ as their King
Now, with our hearts full of gladness
Our adoration we sing
Praise for the wondrous salvation
He to the contrite imparts
Singing the song of forgiveness
Wonderful love fills our hearts

The Greatest Gift Ever Given..........MAY HE TOUCH YOU AND YOURS THIS CHRISTMAS!

The Greatest Gift Ever Given

The mysterious gift that makes Christmas special is iften missed in the busyness, emotion or misplaced focus of the season. This gift has removed the fog of despair that had a grip on the lives of so many. This mysterious gift came in the form of a baby born in a stable. When I consider that Jesus left the perfection of heaven, it is almost incomprehensible. He came to walk the planet He created. Each day, His heart was broken by the people he came to serve. He did this for each of us. What a gift!

Have you considered Jesus, the One who knows all your hurts and sorrows. Would you like to know Him personally? You can by simply opening up your life to Him and asking Him to come into your life, forgive you sins and be direct your life from this moment on.

Might you like to receive Jesus' free gift of forgiveness and place your faith in Him?  You can celebrate this Christmas knowing that you are a member of His family. Perhaps you'd like to talk to Him right now.

You might want to tell Him something like this:

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. I am a sinner and I thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. T
hanks for loving me, for dying for my sins and rising again. Please apply your death as the means of my forgiveness. I accept your pardon.

I open the door of my life to You and ask You to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Bring peace to my world this Christmas. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

If you invited Christ into your life, thank God often that He is in your life, that He will never leave you and that you have eternal life. As you learn more about your relationship with God, and how much He loves you, you'll experience life to the fullest.

The Greatest Gift of Love............

The Greatest Gift of Love

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

                                                                                                     John 3:16

Christmas is spelled L-O-V-E.

What is the Christmas message?

John 3:16. God gave us the gift of love on Christmas Day.

It is truly said, "What the world needs now is love." I
need it. You need it. Your spouse needs it. Your child needs it. An
elderly man or woman sitting alone in a nursing home today needs it. A
child abandoned and alone in a children's home needs it,too.

God sent His one and only Son as the Savior. He knew we couldn't save ourselves. So He sent His Son to be born in a manger, to die on a cross, to rise again into glory, and to come again to redeem His church.

Believing Christ died is history-believing Christ died for you is salvation.
May God bless you and your family this Christmas and throught the New Year.

Boldly Proclaiming Good Tidings of Great Joy...........

Boldly Proclaiming Good Tidings of Great Joy

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people."

                                                                      Luke 2:10

The angel said that we have received "good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." God wants this message known around the world.
Now I know that you may not be a preacher, but you can be a "reach-er"!
How will the world know if we don't tell them? We all need to be
bold for Jesus.

The skies are going to split open, and the trumpet is going to sound.
The dead in Christ will rise, and the angels will once again be heard!
"He's returned!" The Savior born in a manger will return as King to
rule and to reign!

Are you joyfully sharing the Good News of Christ this Christmas?

JESUS, The Son of God became a man that men might become sons of God.......something worth celebrating this Christmas.

JESUS, The Son of God became a man that men might become sons of God.....

It has been rightly said that the history of the world hinges on a stable door in Bethlehem. The birth of Jesus in a little stable in Bethlehem forever changed the history of the world. Jesus was God, walking among us and showing us what God is like. He was not a man who became God, which is impossible, but God who became a man.

Make no mistake about it: though He was God, He also was fully man. Philippians 2:6-7 tells us that Jesus, "being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness". He accepted all of the limitations of humanity except sin itself. Jesus experienced the physical emotions that we experience as well as the divine limitations.

Jesus grew tired like any other human being, because He lived in a human body. John 4:6 tells us that when He went to Samaria where He met the woman at the well, He was weary from the journey. He got tired just like we do.

Jesus experienced physical thirst. When He was on the cross, He cried out, "I thirst." He could have simply spoken, and a fountain of water would have gushed out of the earth, yet He experienced the physical limitation of being thirsty. He also knew physical hunger after fasting for 40 days and nights in the wilderness (see Matthew 4:2).

Jesus experienced physical weakness. As He was on His way to Calvary after having His back ripped open with the Roman cat-o'-nine-tails, causing a radical loss of blood, He fell under the weight of the cross. When He hung on the cross and said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit" (Luke 23:46) and died, He experienced death like any human would experience it.

Jesus knew anger, but we might classify it as righteous indignation. It wasn't the same anger we have. God's anger is a righteous anger, which we see demonstrated in the Gospels. We read that on one occasion, Jesus went into the outer area of the temple and started turning over the tables of the money changers and vendors. He took out a whip and started driving them out, saying, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves' " (Matthew 21:13).

Jesus felt deep sorrow as well. We see Jesus experiencing a broad range of human emotions in the story of the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead (see John 11). Jesus was the friend of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. As He saw them weeping over the death of Lazarus, He wept (:35).

Hebrews 4:15-16 says, "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need". Talk about having friends in high places. The Bible is saying that you are not serving a God who is disinterested in you. You are not serving a God who doesn't know what it is like to literally walk in your shoes. So you can go boldly to the throne of grace and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus Christ, who was God in human form, never lived for a moment outside of the perfect will of God. He never gave in to a temptation. He never had an impure thought. He never did one wrong thing. He never displeased His Father in the smallest matter. He was flawless. He was sinless. He was perfect.

So why did Jesus come to earth as God in human form? Was it to give us the ultimate teachings ever? No. Though they were the greatest teachings ever given, He came here for more than that. Did Jesus come to set the perfect example of how a man or woman should live? He came to do that and much more. Did Jesus walk this earth merely to do miracles and heal people? While He always reached out to people in need, that was not His primary purpose.

C. S. Lewis said it well:

"The Son of God became a man that men might become sons of God."

Infinite and yet an infant.
Eternal and yet born of a woman.
Almighty, and yet nursing at a woman's breast.
Supporting a universe, and yet needing to be carried in a mother's arms.
Heir of all things, and yet a carpenter's despised son.

God became a man so that you might become God's child. Now that is something worth celebrating this Christmas.

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, the little Lord Jesus, lay down his sweet head. The stars in the sky looked down where he lay, the little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary.
To one without faith, no explanation is possible".
