WISDOM OF THE AGES...........

I LOVE QUOTES, PROBABLY A HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT.

THE SEARCH FOR TRUTH AND WISDOM IS THE CENTRAL THEME OF LIFE FOR ALL OF US THAT ARE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BIT INCLINED TO BE MORE THAN AVERAGE DULLARDS.

GOD IMPLORES EACH OF US ON OUR JOURNEY, TO SEEK WISDOM, TO ASK FOR HIS WISDOM, TO FIND WISDOM. HE PROMISES TO GIVE IT FREELY AND IN ABUNDANCE.

I BELIEVE QUOTES, GOOD QUOTES BASED ON TRUTH, REGARDLESS OF THE SOURCE, ARE WISDOM OF THE AGES. I BELIEVE THAT WE CAN ALL LEARN AND GAIN INSIGHT FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF OTHERS, WITHOUT HAVING TO CONTINUOUSLY PUSH A PARTICULAR BURDEN OR PROBLEM UP THE HILL, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I BELIEVE WE CAN ALL BENEFIT GREATLY FROM STUDYING, REFLECTING AND LEARNING FROM THE VAST WISDOM CONTAINED IN QUOTES.

ALL OF THESE QUOTES ARE FROM THE SAME MAN, A WISE MAN. PLEASE SEE BELOW TO FIND OUT WHO HE WAS.

THESE FIRST TWO ARE PARTICULARLY APROPOS FOR ANY ENDEAVOR THAT IS DIFFICULT, REQUIRES COURAGE OR ENGENDERS, DOUBT, APPREHENSION OR FEAR.

No matter how full a reservoir of maxims one may possess, and no matter how good one's sentiments may be, if one has not taken advantage of every concrete opportunity to act, one's character may remain entirely unaffected for the better.

Our errors are surely not such awfully solemn things. In a world where we are so certain to incur them in spite of all our caution, a certain lightness of heart seems healthier than this excessive nervousness on their behalf.

WISDOM OF THE AGES

Belief creates the actual fact.

Begin to be now what you will be hereafter.

Man can alter his life by altering his thinking.

If you want a quality, act as if you already had it.

Compared to what we ought to be, we are half awake.

Let everything you do be done as if it makes a difference.

To change one's life: Start immediately. Do it flamboyantly.

If you care enough for a result, you will most certainly attain it.

Action may not bring happiness but there is no happiness without action.

An idea, to be suggestive, must come to the individual with the force of revelation.

There is but one cause of human failure. And that is man's lack of faith in his true self.

There is no more miserable human being than one in whom nothing is habitual but indecision.

It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect
its successful outcome.

Action seems to follow feeling, but really action and feeling go together; and by regulating the action, which is under the more direct control of the will, we can indirectly regulate the feeling, which is not.

Our normal waking consciousness, rational consciousness as we call it, is but one special type of consciousness, whilst all about it, parted from it by the filmiest of screens, there lie potential
forms of consciousness entirely different.

The world we see that seems so insane is the result of a belief system that is not working. To perceive the world differently, we must be willing to change our belief system, let the past slip away, expand our sense of now, and dissolve the fear in our minds.

Success or failure depends more upon attitude than upon capacity, successful men act as though they have accomplished or are enjoying something. Soon it becomes a reality. Act, look, feel successful, conduct yourself accordingly, and you will be amazed at the positive results.

TWO FINAL QUOTES

It is only by risking our persons from one hour to another that we live at all. And often enough our faith beforehand in an uncertified result is the only thing that makes the result come true.

CONDENSED IT IS EVEN BETTER......

It is only by risking, that we live at all. Our faith that makes the result come true.....

FINALLY, THIS ONE:

The sovereign cure for worry is prayer.

William James

William James (11 January 1842 – 26 August 1910) was a pioneering American psychologist and philosopher. He developed the philosophical perspective known as radical empiricism, and wrote influential books on the science of psychology, the psychology of religious experience and mysticism, and the philosophy of pragmatism.

Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.

I AM ALWAYS AMAZED THAT YESTERDAYS WISDOM, WISDOM FROM SO LONG AGO IN SUCH A DIFFERENT ERA, IS STILL TODAY'S WISDOM, REGARDLESS OF TECHNOLOGY.

I DON'T KNOW IF HE WAS A CHRISTIAN OR NOT, BUT HE HAD A LOT OF GOD'S WISDOM!
